AES Drive
An easy-to-use utility that keeps files securely encrypted on disk. Your decrypted files are available at your fingertips - yet always remain encrypted on disk.
DownloadTransparent File Encryption and Decryption
Simplify file encryption and access by mouting a virtual drive with AES Drive. Files stay encrypted and are only accessible from the mounted drive. Decrypted data never touches the disk.
With a mounted virtual drive, files are encrypted and decrypted transparently, allowing you to work with your files as if they were not encrypted. The full range of standard file operations are supported including create, read, update, and delete. No plaintext data ever touches the disk, all file data is stored encrypted and is only accessible while the drive is mounted.
Compatible With Other AES Tools
AES Drive uses the well-defined and widely adopted AES standard to perform modern file encryption and decryption. Any tool that uses AES can thus work alongside or in tandem with AES Drive.
Many AES tools are free or open source, like AESFile. This means that AES Drive does not create the risk that your files require paid or proprietary tools to decrypt and access.
AES encryption and decryption requires a password, and in order for AES Drive to interop with external tools, the same password must be used in each. AES Drive never stores or transmits your password, so it is important to store your password securely. If your password is lost then your files can no longer be decrypted.
